Doing the Arts and Crafts Plates

Doing this activities is just epic! First of all, I am not much of a good crafter, so I hope Ma'am Gelina will still accept my drawing book even if the design is so for grade 1.

Covering The Drawing Book With Recycled Materials

First, we covered our drawing books with designs, and, of course, I covered it with One Direction pictures and One Direction pictures only. I gathered all my old pictures of them and got some of their pictures in the magazine and pasted them on the covers.

Designing The First Page

Then, we designed our first page, which on mine, is a simple one which says "Justine Frances Cabalay Tomlinson". I guess i have a new last name ;) And for your information, if you don't know, I'm the wife of One Direction's Louis Tomlinson so don't doubt if I will have his last name as mine :P

Basic Shapes (rectangle, square, circle)

Then we made the basic shapes. Just as it suggest, it is basic, FOR OTHERS! Not that I can't make one of them. It's just that I really don't cut straight so the sides of my squares and rectangles are a little curvy. But I tried making it straight (TRIED, OKAY, I SAID TRIED) and by that time it was... bearable. The circle is quite good, though.

Basic Shapes (5-pointed, 8-pointed, 4-pointed stars)

But the stars are very very hard to do for me. As a non-crafter, I am very slow on following instructions about arts so when they are already on the 8-pointed star, I was still struggling to make my 5-pointed star. Good thing on the next day, when we made the 4-pointed star, someone helped me to make it so I learned to make it right away.

Expanding Shapes and Forms

On the day we made the 4-pointed stars, we also made the expanding shapes which is very fun for me! The person who helped me do the 4-pointed star is still there so he helped me too making this ones. But I got the instructions because it was... simple? I guess so. But the hard part is expanding it. Specially if you cut the holes on the sides very thin. If I did not expand it carefully, maybe the paper is torn apart.

All in all, the plates are fun to make, just as how they are very hard to make.
