JAM, AtFest, High School Night

Jam, AtFest, High School Night...

Jesuit Athletic Meet

This year, our school, Ateneo de Zamboanga, is sponsoring this years Jesuit Athletic Meet! Can you believe it? We are all excited (SPECIALLY THE GIRLS) for the coming of all the players from different Ateneo schools all over the Philippines. It started on November 29 until December 1. But the sad thing is, I was not there to watch them play :((( I went to Manila with my parents during those times. But with all the tweets that I saw, I knew that JAM was very enjoyable and that the players enjoyed their stay very much. When they went home, a lot of players tweeted how much they missed Zamboanga.

Ateneo Fiesta

AtFest for me was quite boring. Its just the usual. Rides. Food. Practices. Doing of requirements. Ugh. I hate it when teachers give requirements during AtFest when we should enjoy :// There was nothing special about my AtFest.

High School Night

Guess what?! Due to the storm, players from Xavier University and Ateneo de Davao was still on our school! And because of that, A LOT of girls enjoyed the night more. I'm the most "makapal" girl in the room. But during High School Night, I was just so bitter and I don't know why. A lot of girls on my class asked the players do dance with them. Some are even close with them already. But I was just close to standing there on the dance floor and I didn't ask any players to dance. I was only thinking "Players lang yan sila! CHEAP. Buti pa asawa ko, si Louis Tomlinson yung isang member ng One Direction. Sasayawin niya naman ako this Valentines eh so wala ako pakealam." HAHA. Just a joke. I was just really not in the mood and the bad thing also is, I wore a 5 inch heels. I just want to be tall just for the night. And besides, I love the design of that wedge so much. After almost 2 hours of not-really-dancing there, I sat with some of my friends because I can't stand the pain of my feet already. After 30 minutes, we were told to go home. First I pictured Steffi and Eena with the Captain Ball of Xavier. But I didn't even took a single picture with him. I have a big pride whenever I'm not in the mood. "Tao lang yan sila, di pa daw celebrity, bakit ako magpapapicture?" That's what I'm thinking that time. Sorry though. My 2 cousins, Kuya RJ and Kuya James fetch me. I didn't eat dinner that night so good thing they withdraw money from the bank and bought Jollibee. I think that was the best thing that happened that night.

Doing the Arts and Crafts Plates

Doing this activities is just epic! First of all, I am not much of a good crafter, so I hope Ma'am Gelina will still accept my drawing book even if the design is so for grade 1.

Covering The Drawing Book With Recycled Materials

First, we covered our drawing books with designs, and, of course, I covered it with One Direction pictures and One Direction pictures only. I gathered all my old pictures of them and got some of their pictures in the magazine and pasted them on the covers.

Designing The First Page

Then, we designed our first page, which on mine, is a simple one which says "Justine Frances Cabalay Tomlinson". I guess i have a new last name ;) And for your information, if you don't know, I'm the wife of One Direction's Louis Tomlinson so don't doubt if I will have his last name as mine :P

Basic Shapes (rectangle, square, circle)

Then we made the basic shapes. Just as it suggest, it is basic, FOR OTHERS! Not that I can't make one of them. It's just that I really don't cut straight so the sides of my squares and rectangles are a little curvy. But I tried making it straight (TRIED, OKAY, I SAID TRIED) and by that time it was... bearable. The circle is quite good, though.

Basic Shapes (5-pointed, 8-pointed, 4-pointed stars)

But the stars are very very hard to do for me. As a non-crafter, I am very slow on following instructions about arts so when they are already on the 8-pointed star, I was still struggling to make my 5-pointed star. Good thing on the next day, when we made the 4-pointed star, someone helped me to make it so I learned to make it right away.

Expanding Shapes and Forms

On the day we made the 4-pointed stars, we also made the expanding shapes which is very fun for me! The person who helped me do the 4-pointed star is still there so he helped me too making this ones. But I got the instructions because it was... simple? I guess so. But the hard part is expanding it. Specially if you cut the holes on the sides very thin. If I did not expand it carefully, maybe the paper is torn apart.

All in all, the plates are fun to make, just as how they are very hard to make.
